Saga Amurg: Eclipsa" a fost nominalizat la opt categorii de premii si este urmat in clasamentul filmelor cu cele mai multe nominalizari de lungmetrajul SF "Inceputul/ Inception", care a primit sapte nominalizari.
Pe locurile urmatoare s-au clasat filmele "Harry Potter si Talismanele Mortii: Partea I" (sase nominalizari), "Reteaua de socializare/ The Social Network" (cinci nominalizari) si "Lebada neagra/ Black Swan" (patru nominalizari). Toate aceste cinci pelicule vor concura la categoria "Cel mai bun film".
Premiile MTV Movie Awards, care sunt stabilite in urma voturilor exprimate online de catre fani, au fost dominate din 2009 si pana in prezent de franciza "Amurg/ Twilight". Primele doua lungmetraje din aceasta serie au fost recompensate fiecare cu cate cinci trofee, ambele impunandu-se inclusiv la categoria "Cel mai bun film al anului".
